Black and white...

I haven't been in a Miss Selfridge shop in ages as there isn't one near me so it was nice to meet up with an old friend and go there and obviously Topshop in Oxford Circus, after work one evening. I wasn't expecting to find anything I liked but this dress took me by surprise.

The crazy pattern is quite hypnotic and I love the fact that it has a massive zip the whole way down the front of the dress. It has a gathered waist, flattering neckline, big pockets and beautiful cutout detailing on the back which highlight the shoulders...Amazemant. It was the perfect addition to my wardrobe.

It had it's first outing last weekend for a friends birthday drinks. I paired it with black tights, my new wedge boots, black belt and necklace-which is also a fab buy from Miss Selfridge...The boyf was a bit unsure about the whole thing...he infact asked why i couldn't just dress 'normally' for once, which I'm not really sure about...

I also apologise for the blurred pics..we were in a rush to go out...

Erm guys...do I look like Dennis the Menace?

Firstly I apologise for the number of filler posts I'm about to publish...I have a stack of outfit pictures that I haven't got round to posting....

I picked this dress up from Topshop. I love red dresses. They always seem to catch my eye. This one is super flattering to with the added peplum detailing around the waist.

Anyway I wore this into work with blue tights and blazer and all was well until I realised that I was wearing similar colours to the cartoon character Dennis the Menace.

I made the mistake of asking my work mates if they agreed...
"Erm...guys? Do I look like like Dennis the Menace?"......."yes".......

Wedge me in....

I've been having serious internet problems recently and what with getting back late from work I just haven't got round to blogging. I want to keep blogging but can't promise that my posts will be regular, more sporadic....Please be patient and keep reading as I promise I will get back into the habit of religiously reading all of your blogs...

In the mean time I got my first pay packet and immediately went on a massive spree at Toppers....

You guessed it, I got the Emma Cook for Topshop wedge boots. I am soooo in love with them. I have wanted them for ever and they look even more beautiful up close. Honestly my pictures do not do them justice...

I had seen loads on the Topshop website that I wanted but when actually in the store I struggled to find anything that I liked, until we reached the shoe section that is. I tried them on and didn't want to take them off. Another shopper even commented on them and how amazing they are.

In the words of Rachel Zoe....I DIE....

Have some Mary magic...

I've posted before about Mary Katrantzou and her bold way with colours and prints. She's rocketed skywards in what seems like a small amount of time. It is one of my dreams to own one of her dresses...

For Spring/Summer 2010 the colours are more vivid and eye catching. The dresses more fluid and the prints more abstract...

I love the fusion of intense colours and the origami-like shapes that create an added depth to the dresses. I also like the fact that the attention is drawn to one 'busy' shoulder...so pretty...

the collection seems more grown up and structured which I obviously love. Am considering photoshopping my head onto these dresses just like the Olivia Rubin ones I did...

It's BA-NA-NAS.....

Just a little quote from Rachel Zoe on her fave man Mr Marc Jacobs....I know I'm pretty slow on posting this but I always love looking at Marc Jacobs collections. He mixes a great blend of textures, colours, enthusiasm and fun to all of his creations and I love him. Simple.

Forgot to do a pre-post gush gush warning....here it all comes....

His namesake collection included lots of pastel colours, satins, underwear as outerwear, dusty pinks, midnight blues and ruffles. BUT the collection I was most excited about was the Marc by Marc Jacobs and I wasn't disappointed....

Clashing prints and colours, big bows in hair, high waisted shorts, checks, scribble prints...I could go on but I shall let the clothes do the talking.....

I DIE!!!!!!

I could happily live in any of these outfits forever...I honestly want to be buried in Marc Jacobs please....
Here is the man himself..

Christopher Kane for Toppers

When you say Christopher Kane the first image that pops into your head are the tees with the gorilla/chimp etc prints....

Kane is quickly making a huge name for himself which is further proved through his recent collab with Topshop. Obviously it's been hyped up loads in the press and was predicted to sell out quicker than you could say 'not another chimp tee' so I was quite surprised when out shopping yesterday and having a quick browse online that there were still quite a few items left.

Now I really am a Christopher Kane fan but to be honest looking at the collection in the shops....and I hate to say this...but I was a little disappointed. I can't quite explain why but I just didn't feel particularly excited about anything and if I did have money on me I'm not sure I would have brought anything for the right reason.

The fact that I'm saying/typing this at all is quite depressing. I have to admit that I did like the crocodile print dress.....but predicted that this would end up on everyone which then makes me even more depressed.....

I'm unsure about this leather embellished body...I don't think I have the guts to wear it...or maybe it's the £75 price tag that I'm finding a bit off-putting...

On the up were the shoes in the collection. A nice mix of mesh, leather and rivets....heaven...

It's all about the shoulders...

I got this top a while ago but wasn't sure how to wear it. The shoulders are huge which I love but I wasn't really sure how to balance out my proportions....

...played it safe...chose black tights and black pencil skirt....

Only a short post, tough day at work which has completely worn me out....
